TIG Steady, A Small Addition

We follow an after-thought, reinforced by two comments - why not have a stepped piece for the horizontal support as another option. So -- cut 45° ends on some 3/4" tube and weld them up, then a splash of paint (hides mistakes better!). This works well and with the normal straight piece option covers all ranges from touching the bottom on the weld plate, up to a max of perhaps 18" or even more if cranked tube rotated.
