Quill Stop Fabrication, Part One

Finally, another opportunity to get into the shop. In this part one stage we set up the 1/2" plate blank on the old rotary table, and machine out the center circle and outer radius profiles. Then, a few cuts with the mini 3-wheel bandsaw. Back to the mill and drill, tap, counter bore etc for the pinch bolt. Finally, a saw cut to put in the slot in the pinch bolt lobe. Next shoul be -- the mounting hardware to go onto the column casing, plus rod and lock block etc.
