Low Profile Clamps for the Mill - Part Three

We attend to the buttons and bolts to produce the final cam effect required. The bolt heads are turned down eccentric with a 30 thou offset (less than first trial) and reduced to 2 thou shy of 7/16" diameter. We then counterbore the buttons with a 7/16" 2 flute end mill, leaving a small step at the bottom (finally did go a bit deeper). The original 8mm clearance hole is then opened up sufficient to permit full rotation of the bolt in the perpendicular. Next -- extended length T-Nuts.
